Chair FAQs
What is the overall process of being a chair on a Readington HSA event?
Please click here to view a detailed overview.
How do I solicit donations?
Please click here to download our HSA letterhead. You can write your request on this letterhead and be sure to include your contact details for them to contact you if they decide to donate to your event.
How do I make sure I am not charged tax on HSA purchases?
Please click here to download our Tax Exempt form. You can give this form to each business where you are making purchases for your event.
What is the Facility Use form used for?
Please click here to download our Facility Use form. This is the form where we map out exactly what school resources we need for our event. We would include the location of the event (outside on fields/playground, cafeteria stage, etc.), supplies needed (tables, chairs, power cords, etc) and other event information. Once we include all details, we submit this form to our school secretary. Once the school approves the request, it is then forwarded to Readington Township Public School District Business Office for approval.
Who pays for the supplies for the event?
Typically, the chairs will make purchases for their event and use an expense sheet to be reimbursed. Click here to view the expense sheet. Please discuss with your VP if you need assistance making purchases, or if you have a large order from Amazon where we can instead order through our Readington HSA account without tax.
How do I deposit the funds raised on my event?
We have two deposit slip forms, depending on the complexity of your event. Please click here to access the simple deposit slip form used for Block Parties, Halloween events or Bingo. Please click here to access our more complex deposit slip used on cash-based events like Book Fair and Winter Shoppe.
